shotguns and pistols. They use the firearms skill. They tend to do multiple mid-range dice in damage, something like 2d10-2d12. As such, they have a higher minimum but lower maximum damage than the pistol, but a lower minimum and higher maximum damage than the shotgun. They can be loaded with either a bullet or an energy cell. Also note the Laser Pistols maintain their damage over a significant range, unlike other firearms; only the furthest tile they can target sees a range penalty, specifically.
