<Chestnut giant> is an Elona+ exclusive unique NPC. Its only notable ability is Rage (cTemper), a new Rampage-like buff that applies only to self. It also causes cut damage to its attackers.

The giant can be initially summoned by throwing chestnuts at creatures one hundred times, then walking in the wilderness on the world map. He will appear as a random encounter, just like when you are ambushed by common monsters. Its level is 111 + the player's throwing skill level. You will get the message Chestnut giant yells, "You idiot!" (repeated any time you throw a chestnut during the fight), and track number 63 (mcBoss5) will play. This is likely a mis-translation, and the proper flavor text should read something like "So yer the one... who's bin disrespectin' chestnuts huh?!" at the start of the fight, and "D-damn you! That's not fair!" when damaged by chestnuts - indicating that chestnuts are his weakness.

If it is defeated, it will drop his card and statue alongside many chestnuts.

Note that an encounter with the chestnut giant will cause the bottom-most stack of chestnuts to be removed from your inventory, if you had any at the time. The chestnut-thrown counter will also be halved (e.g. if you had 110 chestnuts thrown before the encounter, it'll be set to 55 after the fight). To trigger another encounter, the chestnuts-thrown counter will need to be at 100 again.

The <chestnut giant> cannot be dominated or captured, but can be recruited with the Astral Light Pen if the requirements are met.

Despite its lack of special actions and spells, the <chestnut giant> could still be a capable pet as a tank; it can take considerable damage, and its many trained weapons skills ensure that it can dish out damage as well.
