This page will attempt to index and describe all of the different monster types in Elona.
As in most cases monster type is associated with certain race, there's a page with NPCs sorted by race.

When you target a creature using *, you will be given a description of the level of the target relative to your own.
| Level difference | Description |
|---|---|
| 20x and higher | If s/he is a giant, you are less than a dropping of an ant. |
| 10x to 20x | S/he can mince you with his/her eyes closed. |
| 5x to 10x | You will get killed, a hundred percent sure. |
| 3x to 5x | You will get killed unless miracles happen. |
| 2x to 3x | S/he is at least twice stronger than you. |
| 1.5x to 2x | The opponent looks quite strong. |
| Equal to 1.5x | Won't be an easy fight. |
| 2/3 to equal | You will probably win. |
| 1/2 to 2/3 | S/he is an easy opponent. |
| 1/3 to 1/2 | You bet you can beat him/her with your eyes closed. |
| Below 1/3 | You can absolutely beat him/her with your eyes closed and arms crossed. |
